About the Journal

physioscience is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research from all areas of physiotherapy that are relevant to clinical practice, research, and education. The journal features original research articles, systematic reviews, case reports, theoretical and methodological contributions, analytical papers, and short communications. physioscience is the official publication of the German Society for Physiotherapy Science (DGPTW). Click here to visit the DGPTW website.

Only manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by another journal will be accepted. All submitted papers are subject to careful peer review.

The journal covers a broad range of topics, including:

  • Therapeutic and diagnostic methods in physiotherapy
  • Research on improving teaching and learning in physiotherapy
  • Basic research
  • Technological innovations in physiotherapy

    physioscience welcomes contributions in the form of original articles, review papers, case studies, short communications, editorials, and commentaries related to the above-mentioned areas.

    Target Audience: The journal addresses physiotherapists working in clinical practice, research, and education, as well as individuals with a strong interest in advancing physiotherapy science.

    Open Access: physioscience is published under the Creative Commons licenses CC BY (Attribution) and CC BY-NC-ND (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives). The copyright remains with the author(s).

    Authors are not required to choose an Open Access option; articles can also be published under the traditional subscription model without incurring Open Access fees.
